Online translation services
At Trágora we know you’re very busy and you don’t have time to come visit our office to request our translation services, so we offer the option to hire our translation services online.
We live in a globalised world where everything revolves around the Internet. We’re totally connected to our mobile devices and computers most of the time, so we’re less and less likely to go to a physical store to buy a product when everything’s just a click away.
All you have to do is send us an email with the document you need to translate, indicating what language or languages you need it translated into and if you have a time limit for delivery, as is often the case with scientific article translations that are going to be published in specialised journals. This way we can see how long the text is, what it’s about, and how difficult it is, so we can offer you the quote that best fits your project. And all from your business, without having to waste time travelling. This also makes it possible for you to hire our services from anywhere in the world. Can’t find the translation agency you need in your city? No problem, distance stopped being a barrier a while ago now. Everything you need is just a click away.
We offer online translation services for multiple sectors, like app translations, video translations, captions for the hearing impaired, audio description, video game translations, etc. What would a restaurant in the middle of a tourist attraction do without a well-translated menu? They would lose countless customers who couldn’t understand what they offer to eat. How can you share your scientific knowledge on a global level without a specialised translator? How can you launch your new video game in other countries without the help of an expert in video game translation? If you want to find out more about what we do, here’s an explanation of each of our services.

Professional translators
Look no further – you have a team of professional translators at your disposal right here.
Any company that really cares about its customers will certainly want the content of its message to be fully adapted not only to its audience’s language, but also to its culture, purchasing habits and interests. Professional translators know their target language inside out, in addition to the source language, and are experts in the country’s culture. They know what the people who speak their language and live there are like, and as such, will always be the best option for conveying what you want to say to your international customers. Simply translating is not enough – you need the translation to achieve the same effect among foreign customers as the original text achieves among the customers for whom it was written.
Ever since our inception in 2006, we have worked with a very thorough system for selecting translators, based on the requirement for a university degree in translation and interpreting, a Masters degree in professional translation, and at least 5 years’ experience in the specialist area for which the translator has been selected. As you can see, we’ve taken care of the hard work for you. Whatever specialist area your text concerns, we have the ideal online professional translator to ensure your objectives are met.
Characteristics of a professional translator
With so many types of translators, how can you know which is a professional translator you can trust for your project? To make it a little easier for you, we’re going to explain the characteristics of a professional translator.
Translation, as with many other professions, has a high level of unqualified workers due to the lack of regulation of the profession, so we find ourselves with many translators, but they’re not all professional translators, because translating requires much more than knowing the languages. There are several types of translators, those who have an education in translation and who practice this profession full time, those who are trained in translation without an education, and there are also those translators forced to translate for their companies just because of their language skills.
The first characteristic is that they have an in-depth knowledge of one or more foreign languages and cultures, and of course, translate into their native language. That may seem obvious, but the fact is that there are many translators who work with limited language skills. Those translators that have spent some time abroad, like ERASMUS students, for example, tend to be more qualified for this work, although there are different ways to get to know other cultures.
The second characteristic is that they use assisted translation programs, like SDL Studio, WordFast, or memoQ, among many others. These programs are essential for performing a good translation job, as they help maintain terminological cohesion throughout the entire text using glossaries and translation memories, they allow us to work with numerous formats, like Adobe InDesign, PDF, HTML, etc., and they allow us to offer reduced delivery times and more economical fees. However, you have to take into account that the usefulness of these tools depends on the subject at hand. For example, they’re not as useful for literary translations.
The third characteristic is that they have an education in translation, either undergraduate or graduate studies, in general or specialised translation. They may also have non-university training, like our training for translators. Their education means they know which translation techniques to apply in each case, along with the required language skills.
The fourth characteristic is that they usually specialise in some specific subject, like medical, legal, or audiovisual translation. Knowing a little bit of everything is the same as knowing nothing: like they say, jack of all trades, master of none.
The final characteristic is that they ask if they don’t understand the original text. It may seem obvious: if you don’t understand something, you ask; but many translators think that may seem unprofessional, because it gives the sensation that you don’t understand the subject matter, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Nobody knows everything, and sometimes texts aren’t as well written as we’d like, so when in doubt, a good professional translator always asks the client.

Audiovisual translation services
Do you realize how many movies we can see in theatres every week? Or how many hundreds of series we can find on television on demand? Have you ever asked yourself what your favourite car commercial looks like in other countries? This is all made possible thanks to audiovisual translation. At Trágora we have translators specialised in audiovisual translation and voice artists and dubbing actors to bring your multimedia project across borders.
You have multiple options for launching your audiovisual product to the market: subtitles, dubbing or voice over (very common in documentaries), but also, you have other options if you want to reach a broader audience, including people with visual or hearing impairments, such as captions for the hearing impaired or audio description. You may have the video and the script and you need to translate a script into different languages so you can choose a selection of the options detailed above. If you don’t know which one to choose, don’t worry, we’ll advise you, since we know the customs of each culture. For example, in Northern European countries, subtitles are preferred, while in southern countries, dubbing is preferred, although it is true that dubbing is always more expensive, so we also take your budget into account.
You may also only have the video, not the script. That’s no problem, because we also offer transcription services for audio and video.
As you can see, we offer a wide range of audiovisual translation services, from the pre-production stage, in which the scripts are translated, reviewed and edited, castings are held for professional voice artists or dubbers, to the production stages, when the voice artists or dubbing actors record the scripts provided using professional recording equipment, and into post-production, when the sound is edited, the music is mixed, or the videos are subtitled.
Specialised translation services
It’s evident that translating a menu for a restaurant is not the same as translating a contract or a documentary. The translation techniques used in each sector are very different depending on the format, the text’s target audience, and what that message is meant to achieve. As each sector has differing needs, we also have translators and editors who specialise in different areas of knowledge.
Our specialised translation services include medical translation, pharmaceutical translation, software translation, technical translation, legal translation, translation for tourism, financial translation and translating or editing manuscripts.
Within these specialisations are numerous documents that may require translation, like commercial mail, promotional material, contracts, wills, powers of attorney, drug labels, hospital reports, academic certificates, user guides, instruction manuals, mobile apps, business management programs, etc.
If you’re thinking of internationalising your business, it’s very possible you need to have numerous specialised documents translated. You can trust us, we’ll deliver a quality translation in the agreed timeframe at a budget adapted to your needs. The person in charge of translating your project will be a translator with a degree who specialises in your sector, with wide experience, who is a native speaker of the target language.
For your following projects, you’ll always work with the same project manager, who will supervise the work from beginning to end, selecting the right specialised translators and editors to guarantee maximum terminological precision. And if you have any questions at any stage of the project, we’ll be available to offer you the best solution. Trust us, you’re in good hands! Even more, we have offices in some of the best cities in Spain such as: translation agency Barcelona and translation agency Madrid.
Content translation services
You’ve probably heard it said that “content is king,” and it’s true. This means translation is an important part of your business’s internationalisation. We translate e-learning videos, websites, online stores, blog articles, promotional videos, mobile apps, and all the content you need.
One of the most in-demand content translation services is website translations or e-commerce translations. In most cases these days, websites are created using a content manager, like WordPress, and e-commerce stores using PrestaShop, so we can work in several ways: with editable formats by exporting content to .xml, .txt, .po, .csv, .xliff, etc., using a translation plugin, in the case of WordPress, or access to PrestaShop’s translation module, or simply translating the text in Word. We work with specialised translators, always native speakers of the target language, with editors who guarantee the quality of the translation.
More and more people are turning to online education for the multiple advantages it offers, so translation of e-learning contents, like videos or tutorials, is another of the services we offer. You can also count on us for all services related to your online education project (an e-learning voice artist, to lend their voice to your videos, audio to text transcription of the video to be translated, the creation and translation of subtitles and video editing).
In addition to these services, we also offer SEO translation of all your content so you can more easily reach potential customers.
Whether you’re a web development company, like for online education, or you’re an independent who wants to promote their services in other countries, we want to be part of your project, so ask for a quote with no commitment.
Video game translation services
The video game industry has been growing more and more throughout the years, its market expanding into all the nations in the world, like Japan, Germany, the United States, Spain, or Korea, among many others. That’s why video game translation services play a crucial role in making sure video game developers achieve success.
At Trágora we have translators who specialise in the translation of video games into multiple languages so you can commercialise your game in countries that don’t speak your language. Our team of translators have a lot of experience and know the specialised terminology used in this field, so we can assure you the quality of the translation is guaranteed.
In addition to translating the game itself, we can also take care of translating the video game guide, instruction manual, website, or marketing material. We can take care of everything, you don’t have to worry about anything!
Video game translation comes with other translation services we can also offer, such as video game subtitling or video game dubbing services. Whatever you choose, you can always count on us, and any questions you have, we’ll advise you.
If you want to commercialise your video game in multiple countries but you’re not sure how it will be received, you can start with more economical languages, like English, French, Portuguese, or Italian, and go on with more expensive languages, like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or Arabic. We’ll adapt to your work rhythm and your needs.
Document translation services
At Trágora we offer document translation services making communication with other countries easy. We have a wide range of qualified translators and editors specialising in different areas, like translating legal, financial, medical, economic, technical, or administrative documents.
To achieve the highest quality in our translations, our translators always translate into their native language, so they can transmit all the subtleties to the target culture, respecting stylistic preferences.
Some documents are full of specialised terminology, so it’s important to maintain terminological cohesion throughout the entire translation. To do so, we use the latest translation technology, like assisted translation programs, which allow us to create translation memories. This way, we can work faster and offer a higher-quality translation.
To offer a good translation, we also analyse the context surrounding the text you provide us. If you need to translate a judgment, we’ll provide you a translator specialising in legal translation, who will be intimately familiar with the laws in their country and the different legal structures that intervene in the process. If you need to translate marketing material, we’ll assign a translator to your project specialising in publicity translation who knows the advertising expressions and sales techniques used in their country. As you can see, translation encompasses multiple fields, and we can help you with all of them.
Quality translation service
If you’re thinking of internationalising your company, you’ll need to hire a quality translation service to ensure your company’s success abroad. At Trágora we comply with ISO regulation 17100:2015 on translation quality, and we have over 10 years’ experience in this sector.
We have an extensive team of qualified, specialised linguists to help with your project: translators, editors, voice artists, layout artists, and project managers, rigorously selected using translation tests.
All of our translators translate into their native language, assuring full understanding of all the nuance of the text. In addition, we select the translator who’s most suited for the project’s field of specialisation for every project. We specialise in audiovisual translation, content translation, specialised translation, video game translation, and voice overs. Tell us about your project, we’re happy to help!
All of our translations include editing services by a second translator to make sure nothing slips by. Both for the translation and editing processes, we use the latest industry technologies, like assisted translation programs, translation memories that help maintain terminological cohesion throughout the text, glossaries, and quality control tools.
To make sure you receive the highest-quality translation, we’ll assign a project manager to take care of communicating any questions our translators and editors may have and take care of all your needs. Any question you may have during the project, you just have to get in touch with your project manager.
Translation service rates
Before requesting a translation, naturally you want to know the rates for translation services. Prices vary depending on the number of words in the text, the language combination, the difficulty of the text, the format, and the delivery time.
The most economical option is to send us the text in an editable format, like Word, so we can introduce the text into translation memories that will help us maintain terminological cohesion. If you send us the text in a non-editable format, like PDF, we charge a fee for text extraction.
If the text is specialised, the price increases, because the time needed for the translation will be greater due to the prior documentation stage needed to fully understand the subject matter.
Another variable to take into account is how the text you want translated is written. If the text contains run-on sentences with punctuation problems, it’ll take longer to understand it, and therefore, the price per word increases.
The client’s requested delivery time also has to be taken into account. When we give a quote, we also include the estimated delivery date for the project. If the client needs it delivered urgently, a surcharge applies, because our translators have to set aside other projects to take care of this one.
Finally, another determining factor is the language combination. The most common and most economical languages are English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish, the so-called EFIGS, while Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Arabic are more expensive, as there are fewer translators for these languages.
If you need a translation and you want to know our prices for translation services, ask us for a translation quote with no commitment. We’re happy to help.
